The state of Illinois of Human Services (DHS) designed in-home Respite Program in an attempt to allow persons with developmental disabilities to remain in the least restrictive care facilities by providing them with short-term support in their own home environmental, North Center’s In-Home Respite Program has a through training process for respite workers to ensure quality of care for respite clients. By providing services and support to family members with developmentally disabilities. North Center’s respite workers aim to give family members a needed break.
